Frequently Asked Questions

  • The short answer: Yes!

    The long answer…

          Understanding Coverage:
Some insurance providers in California may offer partial or full reimbursement for doula services. However, insurance coverage varies significantly depending on the provider and policy. It is the client’s responsibility to contact their insurance company to inquire about potential coverage for doula services.

    ·      Documentation Provided:
Upon request, I can provide a detailed invoice, including relevant service codes or descriptions, to assist with your reimbursement claim. Please inform me in advance if you require any specific documentation.

    ·      No Guarantee of Coverage:
While I will support your efforts to seek insurance reimbursement, I cannot guarantee that your insurance provider will cover the cost of my services. All fees remain the client’s responsibility, regardless of the outcome of insurance claims.

    ·      Denied Insurance Claims or Lack of Coverage: A $500.00 (five hundred dollars) enrollment fee is due at signing regardless of insurance. You may seek reimbursement for this fee independently from insurance. Additionally if your claim is denied the remaining balance is due according to the fee schedule described above.
